Mark Guiliana is an acclaimed drummer, composer, educator,
producer and founder of the independent
record label, Beat Music Productions. He is also featured on David
Bowie's final release - Blackstar.
His forward-thinking, conceptual approach to the instrument
is also featured in Mehliana, the electric duo featuring
Brad Mehldau on keyboards and synthesizers. The group´s
highly anticipated debut album, Taming the Dragon
(Nonesuch), was released in early 2014.
Over the past
decade, Guiliana's extensive touring has taken him across six
continents with artists including Donny McCaslin, Tim
LeFebvre, Jason Lindner, Gretchen Parlato,
Avishai Cohen, Lionel Loueke, and
his own groups, Beat Music and Heernt. He has also appeared on
more than 30 recordings and taught clinics and master classes
across the globe - including PASIC and
Drum Fantasy Camp.
Still in his mid-thirties,
Guiliana, recognized by the New York Times as

Simon Phillips is by far one of the world's most renowned and
respected drummers. His style reflects technical
mastery and a
distinct musical sensibility.
To date, Simon
he has toured and recorded with the likes of Mick Jagger, The
Who, Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Peter Gabriel, Joe Satriani, Tears
for Fears, Judas Priest, Roxy Music, Michael Schenker, Nik
Kershaw, Phd., Al DiMeola, 801, Pete Townshend, Russ Ballard,
Robert Palmer, Stanley Clarke, The Pretenders, Jon Anderson,
Whitesnake and Dave Gilmour... to name but a few. His current
band, Protocol, is a major force in progressive fusion.
Simon is also an in-demand producer.
His studio, Phantom Recordings, is the host venue for the March
19 class. In that studio, Simon has produced countless projects
including several Toto albums. He mixed a Toto DVD, and has
worked with other artists such as Mike Oldfield.
